Can you explain what is a dry run protection device on your pump
Can this pump be run dry for extended times?
Does this pump have some type of built in float?
A: The dry run protection is a sensor in the motor. When no fluid is going through the pump the load on the motor reduces, the sensor recognises this reduction in load and stops the motor.
This pump is not suitable for dry running, hence the dry run protection in the motor.
